In this volume of his collection Modern School for Saxophone, Adolfo Ventas, professor of saxophone at the Municipal Superior Conservatory of Music of Barcelona, proposes a series of exercises designed to work on arpeggios in all their varieties and dimensions.

The arpeggios studied in the book are based on the perfect major and minor chords, augmented and diminished, as well as on the seventh chords (in their seven species) and the ninth chords formed on the different degrees of the major and minor modes. Valid for both saxophone and oboe.
