The song was a huge world-wide hit, sung in countless arrangements and translations by artists all over the world, including in French by Tino Rossi ("C'est à Capri" 1934), in English by Frankie Laine (1952), Frank Sinatra (1957), Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney (1958), in Norwegian (“Det var på Capri”) by Ivar Ruste 1973 and De syngende husmødre 1982.
