Variations On America

Our most popular Ives work, originally for organ solo, is available for flute and piano! This is the perfect showcase for flute in a patriotic program (or general use), with its Ivesian variations of the familiar melodic elements, from a simple statement of the tune to the flowing obbligato passages that soar above the accompaniment. Suitable for advanced students and about 7 minutes in length, Variations on “America” is just the crowd-pleaser to finish off any recital.
