With the title "Fanfares And Fantasies" I try to accommodate both the extrovert with fanfare and the celebration of the anniversary and the quiet and introspective in the little interludes I call fantasies.
The lone flute in the fantasies represents something far removed from brass fanfares, yet I find that both the choir and the music have great depth in this area. And it is in this area that the music's ability to accommodate all the nuances comes out.
