Rameau for 2 Saxophones

The music of J.PH. RAMEAU, with its enchanting melodies and sensuous embellishments, is fascinating material for learning to understand and play Baroque music. The pieces contained in this volume - including Le Rappel des Oiseaux and Le Joyeuse - are great editions to any chamber music concert.

It is clear to see why these pieces, originally written for harpsichord, belong to the standard repertoire of many well-known musicians, and have now finally been made available in this careful arrangement for two saxophones by Friedrich Kullmann. The pieces work best for alto and baritone saxophone, but they are also a lot of fun for soprano and tenor.
