The 90th anniversary of Musikverein Wilhelmskirch (Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany) in 2015 carried the motto “Euphoria” – inspired by the title of the festive march Martin Scharnagl had composed for the musicians of Wilhelmskirch. The word “Euphoria” is of Greek origin and describes the feeling of well-being, joy of living and high spirits. Hardly any other title could better suit such an impressive and festive piece. This march sends out sparks of joy and euphoria – and it surely will thrill many friends of music outside the village limits of Willhelmskirch.
