A selection of four pieces arranged for flute and piano by Cecile Chaminade. Serenade, Orientale, Berceuse and Pastorale – These four pieces have been arranged from Chaminade’s large number of character pieces for piano, spanning just about her entire compositional career.

Each demonstrates her ability to paint a picture of a mood, or a style, using beautiful flowing melodic lines, well crafted accompaniments, and harmonies that can change the mood of the music in an instant. Ranging in approximate stardard of grades 3-6, this volume is a great way to bring the music of this otherwise neglected composer back to the concert platform.
